Software Patch for CX-Server OPC version 1.22 (14) to update to 1.3 (5)
INTRODUCTION
This file contains instructions on how to apply a software patch. It can be run on the following installations of CX-Server OPC:
- Version 1.22 (14), Full Package
If you have an earlier version this must be upgraded to 1.22 (14) first.
This patch should be run on a machine with no other applications running, and has NOT had CX-Server OPC running since booted. If CX-Server OPC has been run, re-boot to clear any application processes.
This patch fixes the areas listed below in CX-Server OPC 1.22 build 14

TO INSTALL THE PATCH
Simply launch the patch by double clicking from any drive. The previously installed application and path will be automatically detected.
ISSUES FIXED BY THE PATCH
1. Fixes Defect CXAS-027993: Automatically set the number of Decimal Places when the Thumbwheel control is unable to display the requested number length (i.e. when Decimal Places >= total digits).
2. Fixes Defect CXAS-028634: Possible memory leak in the 7Segment control.
3. Fixes Defect CXAS-027907 (EAS Report: 06050015): IsBadQuality() method returns an incorrect value (corrected problem where after re-connection IsBadQuality would incorrectly return True).
4. Fixes Defect CXAS-028553 (EAS Reports 07050020 & 07050013): Fixes issues where GPF would randomly occur on dual core PC when communications are active and items are rapidly created/deleted.
5. Fixes Defect CXAS-027940: IsBadQuality() method returns an incorrect value when used on an item that is also configured with Value(Write).
6. Fixes Defect CXAS-028037: ConnectToServer method always fails after an unsuccessful connection attempt.
7. Fixes Defect CXAS-028635: Issues with conversion of Strings to VT_BSTR.
8. Fixes EAS Report 06030019: Problem where "Server Busy" message is displayed when configuring IC Communications settings or OPC Communications settings.
9. Fixes EAS Report 07090007: Fixes issue with long 'Access Path' attributes for OPC items (note: length of access path has been increased by 200 characters in this release but will be further increased in the next release).
