Hardware Requirements
In order to work with this software, you need a personal computer (PC) with at least the following features:
Pentium processor, 1 GHz
256 MB RAM
30 MB free memory on the hard disk
The hardware prerequisites depend on the used volume of data and on the number of connections (data source to data target).

Software requirements
The IndustrialDataBridge is released for the same operating systems as WinCC V 7.0 SP1.
WinCC V7.0 SP1 is required for integration in the WinCC Explorer.
The following software must already have been installed:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 with Service Pack 1 (or higher)

Additional Software
Additional software is required in the following instances:
If the IDB is to use the WinCC OLE DB Provider, one of the following products must be operational on the computer that IDB is installed upon.

• WinCC Basic
• WebNavigator Server
• DataMonitor Server
• ConnectivityPack Server
  

If this is not the case, the ConnectivityPack Client must be installed from the WinCC DVD.

Stand Alone installation

If the IDB is installed with the "Standalone" option, the Automation License Manager (ALM) must be installed so that the licenses can be loaded. The ALM is on the IDB CD ROM.
MySQL Database
If the IDB is to be used with a MySQL database, the following driver must be installed.
MySQL Connector for ODBC V3.51.23 of 10.01.2008
The drive is not delivered on the CD. It can be downloaded from the Internet.

Note
Read and Write Authorization
You need read and write access to the installation folder of the IndustrialDataBridge to run the configuration and runtime interface. If you create your configuration or trace files in a different folder, you also need read and write access to that folder.
