1. Known Issues:
- 3500 rack config needs administrative permissions to browse the network. The user can still
connect to a rack via Ethernet if they know the IP address without running as an administrator,
but to browse the network the user needs to run rack config as an administrator. To do this,
right click on the rack config shortcut and click Run As Administrator.
- When installing 3500 rack config onto a 64-bit operating system, the Comm. Gateway Port Test
Utility and RIM Host Port Test Utility will not be installed, and are unavailable for use.
- 3500 Rack config has a requirement to use the 2.0 .NET framework; When installing onto windows XP
32-bit or Windows Server 2003, rack config will check for this pre-requisite and ask to install it
before continuing with the 3500 rack config installation. On the Windows server 2008, Windows Vista,
and Windows 7 operating systems, the pre-requisite of 2.0 .NET framework comes pre-installed. If the
user manually removes this from their operating systems, we have noticed that the rack config
installation tool will not ask to install the pre-reqs. The 2.0 .NET framework is only needed for
the TDI crash file feature.
- 3500 Rack config does not install the pre-req 2.0 .NET framework on windows XP 64-bit correctly.

- The 3500 rack configuration program is subject to the KB 2396756 issue that Microsoft has in their
Windows 7 operating system. The issue is caused by incorrectly set DPI setting files (MS Sans Serif
specifically) that causes the text on the screen in rack configuration to become unreadable in
places. Microsoft has outlined a workaround for the issue on their support site. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2396756 for more details and information.
- The 3500 Rack Configuration software is only designed for English operating system using the English
display component. We recommend that you only use the 3500 rack configuration software on this computer
setup and have not tested the software on other configurations.
2. The following defect fixes and enhancements were added:
General Enhancements and defect fixes:
- Added support for Windows 7 operating system (32-bit and 64-bit).
- Fixed miscellaneous installation, user interface, and run-time crash issues.
- Fixed DE7964 - Issue where Shaft Absolute velocity decimal clamp values downloaded incorrectly.
- Fixed DE8142 - Issue where 3500/45 and 3500/45E monitors allow a AC LVDT transducer ok limit that
is not supported.
- US28051 - Added port selection feature when printing the Modbus Cfg File to clarify the mb max
value on the printout.
- Fixed DE7317 - Issue where user can crash rack config by selecting a channel > 3 in the
monitor verification screen for relays.
3500 rack specific:
- US26815 - Added support for the new 22M monitor with USB port.
- US25685 - Added support for the new 3500/53M Overspeed Detection Monitor.
- US26626 - Added support for the new 3500/32M Standard Relay Module.
- Fixed DE8020 - Issue where the 3500/91 Multi-protocol communication gateway displays an
unhandled error message.
- Fixed DE8179 - Issue where wrong error message is shown when trying to download a non-EGD
protocol to a non-supported 3500/91 communication gateway module.
- US25351 - Issue where the 3500/77M left and right direction buttons become hidden.
- US27562 - Added support for the 3500/77M monitor to allow a maximum 300 second alarm delay.
- Fixed DE8143\US28127 - Issue where the 3500/50M monitor was being counted as part of the TDI's 12
management card limit.
- Fixed DE7459 - Relay logic creation issue for the \33, \32, and \34 monitors.
3500 Encore rack specific:
- Fixed DE8101 - Issue where the Encore keyphasor loads up with Event Ratio of 1, an invalid value.
3300 Conversion Utility Import specific:
- US26603 - Support for Reverse Rotation channel type.
- Fixed DE7907 - Fixes incorrect message when canceling import.
3. DSP Code changes for v4.50.
- New dsp code is available for the 3500/53M Overspeed Detection Monitor.
4. New files included with the 3500 Rack Config Installation CD.
- USB drivers for the new 22M.
