SIDirect Version 2.0 Features
This release of the SIDirect DAServer 2.0 and its DIObjects delivers significant enhancements in functionality. The
following enhancements were implemented:
? Device redundany
The feature allows the DAServer to provide fail-over support by providing a Redundancy Device object which switches between two device hierarchy object nodes.
? Support for out-of-proc activation only OPC connectivity has been modified to support only outof-proc activation.

? Support User Account Control (UAC) enabled without user privilege elevation in run time.
? Support 64-bit platform with WoW64 emulation on x86 hardware
? New Location for Configuration Files
All configuration files and Tag Database files will be moved to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Wonderware\DAServer\DASSIDirect on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems and to
C:\Program Data\Wonderware\DAServer\DASSIDirect on Windows Vista and above operating systems. The rule file will provide the version information.

? Support of specific Memory syntax (V, AI, AQ, SM, S, HC) for the S7-200 PLCs
? New Q syntax for outputs and PQ syntax for peripheral outputs
? Can ping the PLC connectivity even when there are no items subscribed to
? Active on Demand
? Support S7 Tag Creator
